The Minecraft 1.19 release date is, at least, on the horizon. The next big update has a chunk of exciting things to look at which include Frogs, the allay mob, and the fearsome Minecraft Warden. Each brings something different to the game. However when it comes to the Warden, it seems Mojang really wants to be a terror to us.

We are sure that you will be enthused by the Minecraft 1.19 Pre-release 3 notes. These notes almost immediately follow pre-release 2. Probably because of Warden's demands. Welcome to my home While the majority of the notes are about bugs however, there are some important Warden changes worth talking about. The first is that if the Warden gets stuck in a liquid, it'll abruptly disappear instead of digging. We don't know how one is able to angrily despawn, but it's something we are excited to witness.

Another significant modification, and this was the one that was added to version 3 of the prerelease which is that Warden's sonic blast attack now bypasses damage reduction through armour spells such as Protection. This makes Warden a little more intense because it shows Mojang would prefer this enemy to be snubbed and not getting cheesed.

Although many of the bug changes are extremely specific, it's important to note that mobs appear more likely to appear in Nether Portals. This means that they are getting cut through space and time often. Mojang is working to stop that in a later version however they "will not make any further changes to this before the release of 1.19."
