The Passionate Hairdresser

The little girl's hair was pulled back in a loose braid. At first glance, things didn't seem all that bad. And then....I sat her in my own seat, took the braid out, and immediately said "Why would you do this to hair?? If this doesn't come out, I might have to utilize the clippers on your hair." I grabbed a choose and started focusing on her dry locks.

A number of the knots started coming out. For the edges of her mind wasn't too bad, set alongside the HUGE knot (bigger than her actual head) I put yet to tackle. This poor child finished up in tears because my pulling on her knots was leading to serious pain, so I took her to the sink to find out what I can clean out and take it easy.

After I cut the basic shape of her hair, I took her back to the sink and proceeded to wash her hair, AGAIN. This time around, I could obtain it CLEAN. Back to my chair to complete the hair lower.

The entire time I used to be coping with her hair, I found out that mom is a ding bat....and has no clue what to do with her kid. Dad was incredibly frustrated with the both of them, and required what I thought to heart. I also believe that the child will NOT be doing this again, any time too soon, since it was such a painful encounter. The kicker?? Mom & Dad had just pulled those knots out just two weeks ago. Little girl was using a gentle bristle hair brush to cope with her hair, which it wasn't able to perform. This child provides enough locks for 4 people. It's great (which explains why it knotted therefore badly) and it's really slightly wavy. It had been also 3/4 of the way down her back, all one size, with a small amount of bang.

Were these people dirty?? Definitely not. All were very clean, reasonably well educated. However, 13X6 Lace Front Wigs were trusting the 8 yr old to accomplish a very daunting, intimidating job. Even better was the actual fact that Mom washes the kid's locks for her, therefore she knew what was taking place, and did nothing at all to fix the situation until they brought her in to me.

The outcome: Her hair was cut to underneath of her neck (her choice) inside a cute, fun haircut, rendering it 5 bazillion times easier on her behalf to take care of her hair, which produced everyone happy. And, for the first time in quite a while, her locks was CLEAN. To the head clean. A very important factor I've learned from this: I need to charge A lot more for coping with that mess than what I did so. Let's hope I only discover her for hair cuts and not to obtain that knot out again.
