In the long run, the Riddler had a last laugh at Batman, asserting he was going to shoot control Gotham together along with his superior wisdom, but bat man only replied that he would stop at nothing to protect the future of Gotham City. With this, the Riddler escaped into the night once again, but before leaving a final note for Batman stating he would see his future movements as a way to see whether he would develop into the pioneer he desired. Batman then went following the Joker, battling him in a brutal struggle in the Riddler was defeated but not conquered completely. Bat man then caught the Riddler, throwing him to the Batplane, also escaped to steal the plans of the Joker later on. Subsequently, the Riddler happened on the criminal world once again, causing more trouble for Batman ever after.
